Chinless Mitch McConnell has threatened not to increase the debt ceiling if you do not present a credible plan for deficit reduction. You have to call his bluff on this or he will change his demands every time you say yes. Mr. President you need to present a program of deep cuts in corporate welfare subsidies and tax increases to the wealthy like yourself and Chinless Mitch. This would be what the majority of voters call "shared sacrifice". Poor Chinless Mitch's screams of pain would expose his hypocrisy for all the voters to see. It would involve getting your people on the Sunday Bobblehead shows for a period of weeks but it would be worth it.
There is one other thing you can do to ease the deficit. You can end your shitty little war in Afghanistan and stop the waste of lives and tax dollars that we can not afford.
