Now I understand why you did not prosecute your predecessor and his crew for torture. Had you done so, you would, no doubt, feel some constraint about torturing and abusing Private Bradley Manning for his great public service.
You will never get this stain off your conscience but you can begin to make amends by declaring an end to your shitty little war in Afghanistan. You know we can't afford it, by any measure you choose.
